Thirteen Pennsylvania College of Technology landscape/plant production technology students recently attended the 50th annual National College Landscape Competition at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. During the event, Cale M. Rice, of Julian, was awarded a $1,000 Joe Palimeno Family Scholarship.

In honor of Arbor Day – officially observed on April 24 – students in forestry and landscape/plant production majors planted trees at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center and in Williamsport. And Earth Day – observed internationally each year on April 22 – was celebrated by Earth Science Center programs by planting trees and moving earth.

Sayour, of River Edge, New Jersey, is one of 11 Penn College students to receive a scholarship from the foundation for the 2025-26 academic year.

Larry A. Ward, a longtime benefactor and distinguished alumnus of Pennsylvania College of Technology, has added to his philanthropic legacy by establishing three $100,000 endowed scholarships at the institution.
