Nearly all 27 members of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s SkillsUSA team – 21 of them advancing to the 54th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky – earned medals during recent state competition.

Twelve graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will exhibit their work as part of “Design: 2018,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College. A public reception for the exhibit’s opening will be held Friday, April 27, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the gallery, located on the third floor of the Madigan Library.

Two works of art created by David M. Moyer, assistant professor of graphic design at Pennsylvania College of Technology, are featured in the 14th Gielniak Graphic Arts Competition at the Muzeum Karkonoskie, Jelenia Góra, Poland. Moyer’s woodcuts “Utopia I” and “Utopia II” were selected for the prestigious exhibition.

Henninger, of Bellefonte, presents Rise & Shine Bakery, an artisan bread bakery. Amber Kreitzer, of Port Trevorton, used a variety of artisan beer flavors to inspire her Boozy Sweets.

The speaker is backed by visuals of a brooch she gave to former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who used pins as her diplomatic signature. Two stories of audience engagement in the ACC Auditorium Strzelec answers an audience member’s question as the evening’s moderator, Craig A. Miller, instructor of engineering design, looks on.
