A Pennsylvania College of Technology student is the recipient of a $4,000 scholarship through The Pennsylvania State University LGBTA Student Resource Center for his work to ensure that the campus, a special mission affiliate of Penn State, is a “welcoming and friendly place” for all students. Pennsylvania College of Technology will host its annual chocolate house auction on Friday, Dec. 6, to benefit Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity. Eleven chocolate houses, ranging from log cabins and Christmas cottages to reindeer stables and Willy Wonka’s house, will be sold in silent auction at the School of Business & Hospitality’s annual Food Show.
Visiting Chef Kristi Ritchey, a 2002 Pennsylvania College of Technology culinary arts technology graduate and executive chef of Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop’s four Los Angeles-area restaurants, worked closely with students for three days to produce Friday’s Visiting Chef Dinner. The elegant dinner raises funds for scholarships and provides opportunities for students to work alongside top chefs.
Michael R. Triassi has been named director of sales and restaurant operations at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Triassi, who among his duties will oversee Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry.
Samantha-Jo M. Bradley, a baking and pastry arts major from Middlebury Center, has been chosen as the Student of the Month at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
