The defending United East champions open their season Sunday at The Gauntlet at Bucknell Golf Club.
Michael Carroll, Pennsylvania’s secretary of transportation, and staff toured Penn College on Thursday, diving in to topics such as electric vehicles and aviation maintenance. The tour coincided with a recruiting event by the department: PennDOT hosted a “pop-up” information table in College Avenue Labs.
Wildcat Wars, an early fall tradition at Penn College, returned to UPMC Field, with residence hall teams battling in kickball, dodgeball and tug-of-war. In the end, the York/Juniata team earned the win – and a year's worth of bragging rights.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology student has been awarded a scholarship from the Tree Research & Education Endowment Fund, a charitable grant-making organization that supports urban and community forests. Trinity E. Willoughby, of Danville, earned the $5,000 Fran Ward Women in Arboriculture Scholarship.

Grandparents were the guests of honor earlier this month when the Dunham Children’s Learning Center celebrated Grandparents Day. The children treated their VIP visitors to a special activity and outdoor playtime.
