Pennsylvania College of Technology student Ryan P. McCollum, of Warrington, received a national scholarship from the American Welding Society Foundation for the 2010-11 academic year. Beginning in May, Pennsylvania College of Technology will offer a series of cooking demonstrations to the public. The Creative Cuisine Series features six sessions presented by faculty and professional staff in the college's School of Hospitality. Sessions begin with a demonstration of each menu item, after which the items will be served to participants, who will take home the recipes.
Pennsylvania College of Technology received a grant to support a summer camp for secondary school students interested in careers in emergency medical services. The EMT-Paramedic Camp, scheduled for June 16-17 for students entering grades nine to 12, is funded in part by a $1,500 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health through the Lycoming County Department of Public Safety.
