Eighty-three Penn College alumni were “on deck” June 27 for a night of baseball as the Williamsport Crosscutters defeated the Aberdeen IronBirds 10-2 at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.

President Michael J. Reed threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the evening as softball players Taylor Brown and Sofia Mileto networked with the crowd. The Penn College Wildcat – always a crowd favorite – also made an appearance.

Two lucky alumni won prizes: Cody R. Englehart, ’23, human services and restorative justice, won an alumni swag box and Stacie Maines, ’17, legal studies-paralegal, took home four tickets to Hersheypark.

With the Fourth of July just around the corner, the fun-filled evening ended with a dazzling fireworks display.

Alumni are encouraged to join the Alumni Tomorrow Makers Program, a vital part of empowering and recruiting tomorrow’s workforce. Alumni in the volunteer program contribute in several ways, including advocating for the college via social media, networking with current students and recruiting prospective students.
