In the latest edition of Penn College’s Visiting Chef Series – an invaluable educational experience that launched in Spring 1992 – Chef Rob Wood, assistant general manager of the Jon Bon Jovi Foundation’s JBJ Soul Kitchen in New Jersey, spent three days leading baking and culinary students in the college’s kitchens, culminating in the Visiting Chef Dinner in Le Jeune Chef Restaurant.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students and their real-world skills were in demand at the institution’s recent two-day Fall Career Fair. Nearly 430 employers – about 50 more than last fall’s event – filled the college’s Bardo Gymnasium and Field House, offering full-time employment and internship opportunities.

Like many working in the skilled trades, Robert M. Layng loves his vocation. The Pennsylvania College of Technology alumnus shares his infectious passion for manufacturing and machining through stories and a podcast series for a national trade publication.

Wildcat Weekend welcomed hundreds to campus Sept. 18-20, providing activities for parents and families eager to visit with their students and alumni catching up with the college and one another.

Former student-athletes and Taylor (Brooks) Esposito ’19 (softball, nursing) and Brittan Kittle ’21 (baseball, plastics & polymer engineering technology) were enshrined into the Penn College Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday evening, during the college’s Wildcat Weekend festivities.

The Market at Le Jeune Chef – a new retail space for Penn College’s baking and culinary program – opened for its first bake sale on Sept. 4.

Penn College was well-represented at the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series, which attracted hundreds of thousands of fans to the Little League International Complex in South Williamsport over the past 13 days.Students, alumni and employees held key roles feeding teams, keeping spectators safe, and keeping the place looking great.

More than 150 students have petitioned to graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology following the Summer 2026 sessions. A commencement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center.
