There are two ways that we accept applications. Choose the option that fits you. You only need to submit one application. There is never a fee to apply.

  • Your official secondary school records must be evaluated by an organization recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.*
  • If you studied at a post-secondary school outside of the U.S. and wish to be considered for transfer credit, your official post-secondary school records must be evaluated by an organization recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.* Please request that they do a course-by-course evaluation.
  • If you studied previously at an institution in the U.S., please request that institution to send your official transcript(s) directly to Penn College. Our School Code/ID# is 2989. 

*Your official records and official evaluation should be sent directly to Penn College from the evaluation service, not from you.

English Proficiency

Demonstration of English language proficiency, through one of the following ways:

  • A score of 74 or higher on the TOEFL iBT. Official scores should be sent directly from ETS to Penn College (ID# 2989).
  • A band score of 6.0 or higher on IELTS, academic version. Official scores should be sent directly from the testing service to Penn College (ID# 2989).
  • A score of 100 or higher on the Duolingo English Test. Official scores should be sent directly from the testing service to Penn College (ID# 2989).
  • A score of 49 or higher on the Pearson (PTE) English Language Test. Official scores should be sent directly from the testing service to Penn College (ID# 2989).
  • A score of 550 or higher on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section. Official scores should be sent directly from the College Board to Penn College (ID# 2989).
  • 24 credits of academic (not English preparatory or vocational) coursework with a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) completed within the immediate prior 24-month period at a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Graduating from, or are on track to graduate from, an International Baccalaureate (IB) secondary school where the language of instruction while attending was English.
  • A diploma from a secondary or postsecondary school in a country where English is the official language and was the language of instruction while you were attending.

Submit a copy of your passport.

Documentation of Current Visa or Immigration Status

Planning to Study on an F-1 Visa

You do not need to submit any materials for this other than your passport right now. After acceptance, you must submit financial guarantee documents as outlined in Step 4. 

International Students Studying on a Different Visa Type

Students who currently have another visa type valid for studying in the U.S. must submit a copy of their current visa. This can be sent to admissions@pct.edu. 

United States Residents without Citizenship

Students who currently have a status such as asylum, pending asylum, refugee, or temporary protective status must submit proof of this status. Commonly, this is in the form of Employment Authorization Documentation (EAD). This can be sent to admissions@pct.edu. 

Our programs are rigorous, which is why you’ll need to show you're up for the challenge. Think of it as an assessment of your current skills in math to determine your best path forward to succeed in your intended major.

If you are planning to study on an F-1 student visa, we will need a letter of financial commitment from your financial guarantor confirming sponsorship for one academic year (nine months), payable to Penn College. This does not need to be submitted until after you are offered acceptance. 

Complete the International Student Sponsor Letter and return to admissions@pct.edu.

Students not sponsored by a government or corporate entity must also submit an official financial/bank statement provided on behalf of the financial guarantor showing minimum required funds dated within the previous six months. For the 2025-26 academic year, the minimum funds required is 41,974 USD. You may scan and email a copy of your financial documents to admissions@pct.edu.

Note: students must now purchase insurance directly through VISIT International Health Insurance rather than through the College. There are three plan options, but we will use the least expensive option ($118/mo for 9 months) for the purposes of the financial guarantee.

Application Deadlines

International applicants planning to study on an F-1 student visa must complete their application, submit all supporting materials, meet placement requirements, and confirm their intent to enroll by October 1 for spring admission and May 1 for fall admission. The application for Spring and Fall 2027 will open on August 1.

Special Requirements: Nursing & Health Sciences Majors

Students seeking admission into Healthcare Leadership & Administration, Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Physician Assistant, Radiography, and Surgical Technology who possess a health credential awarded from an educational institution outside the United States should contact the appropriate program director to discuss possible options to have a health credential reviewed by an appropriate foreign health credential evaluation agency in order to determine eligibility to take the U.S. health credentialing exam.
