Meet Abi
Where did I go to school?I went to Millersville University for a BA in English with a concentration in Writing Studies and a Minor in Government & Political Affairs.
Why Penn College? The amount of hands-on, practical experience our students receive during their time at Penn College is unmatched. The skills they learn are immediately transferable wherever they go after their time on campus. I'm also very excited to work with a large population of first-generation college students – I was a first-gen student and believe education is transformative.
Favorite VacationI spent three weeks in Jordan! It was an amazing experience; some of the highlights were: seeing the Roman Amphitheater in Amman, watching the sunset and stargazing in the desert, floating in the Dead Sea, visiting the Treasury at Petra, swimming in Aqaba, and eating some really delicious food. I also loved my time visiting Hong Kong!
Favorite Place in WilliamsportI have more exploring to do, but Sprinkled Sweet is my favorite dessert spot so far! If you don't mind taking a little drive, Rickett's Glen is a cool day hike. The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon is also about an hour from Williamsport and has a short, fun hike, or you can turn it into a two- or three-day backpacking trip. If you like outdoor activities, Williamsport is the place to be!
Favorite ActivityIt's hard to pick just one favorite! I love reading (mostly fantasy), playing video games, hiking, and backpacking with my partner.
Favorite Birthday TreatCrazy Cake - it was my favorite growing up. It's called Crazy Cake because it's made without eggs, milk, or butter!
