A $1,500 grant from the Easton Sports Development Foundation II helped the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team defray travel expenses for its recent trip to national competition in Harrisonburg, Va. The Wildcats finished second overall during the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships, which were held May 19-22 at James Madison University.
Graduation ceremonies were held May 20 for those completing the medical (office) assistant program at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro. Automotive instructors from a number of high schools and regional career and technology centers visited Penn College on Friday for training in the application of waterborne paint. A gallery talk and Meet the Artist Reception on Thursday officially opened "Floreal Stratum," a display of textile art by Meredith Setser, in The Gallery at Penn College. Setser's work features large installations primarily composed of handmade and industrial felts printed with traditional processes, such as etching, relief and screen printing.
