Scott, librarian and archivist in the college's Madigan Library, was granted recertification by the Academy of Certified Archivists.

The American Red Cross reports a successful recent Bloodmobile visit to the Schneebeli Earth Science Center: Forty-one pints were collected, surpassing the donation goal of 35 pints; 17 people were first-time donors. As each pint of blood collected benefits three people, a total of 123 patients will be helped by the Oct. 14 collection. Dennis F.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "Erasing Borders 2009: Exhibition of Contemporary Indian Art of the Diaspora" from Nov. 13 to Dec. 13. The traveling exhibition is an annual presentation by the Indo-American Arts Council.

Manufacturing engineering technology students David Blumenfeld and Matthew Cox presented the research they performed during a summer fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Maryland. Cox, of Selinsgrove, presented his research into 3-D printing, and Blumenfeld, of Lincroft, N.J.,presented research into creation and measurement of a five-axis part.
