On April 10, Pennsylvania College of Technology will host a session for girls in seventh and eighth grades to encourage an ongoing interest in science and math. The college's Science and Math Applications in Real-World Technologies (SMART Girls) project was developed to counter the distressing tendency of girls to sidestep math and sciences as they enter adolescence.
