Vol. 8, No. 26 (Through Sunday, Feb. 7) Greg Solyak of Lancaster became the fifth player in Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball history to score 1,000 career points, but the Wildcat men and women took it on the chin during the week.

Leroy Joiner, a sophomore on the Penn College men's basketball team, has been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Player of the Week for Jan. 10-17 – a first for Wildcat athletics. In two victories, Joiner averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4.5 assists. He leads the team in scoring this season with 228 points and has scored 720 thus far during his career.
