Twelve accepted students from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York attended the first "Spend the Night at Penn College" program Feb. 22-23, getting a more complete picture of student life than is afforded by a more concentrated visit. "It was a great experience for the prospective students," said Joseph J. Balduino, the college's director of recruitment.

About 50 architecture students from The Pennsylvania State University visited Penn College's masonry lab Wednesday, gaining hands-on experience and a heightened appreciation of  the relationship between design and construction.

Students from nine high schools and/or career and technical schools competed in 14 events - HVAC, plumbing, technical drafting, welding, masonry, precision machining, automated manufacturing, residential wiring, commercial baking, culinary arts, computer maintenance, carpentry, basic health care and nurse assisting - during Friday's SkillsUSA District 6 competition at Penn College.

“Urban Landscape,” an eye-opening exhibit filled with eye-popping brilliance, officially began Tuesday evening with a reception and an artist's talk in The Gallery at Penn College.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Madigan Library, will host “Urban Landscape,” an exhibit of sculptures by Rick Herzog, from Jan. 11 to Feb. 3.

Student's artwork on display through Dec. 16 Michele D. Lucas, who plans to graduate in May with degrees in graphic design and studio arts, is exhibiting her recent ceramics in the lobby of The Gallery at Penn College (Madigan Library, third floor) through Dec. 16. A public reception to meet the artist will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Madigan Library, invites Lycoming County artists to submit their work for consideration in the gallery’s “Art Alive! Lycoming County Juried Art Exhibition.” Deadline for submissions is Dec. 15. The exhibit is scheduled May 30 to June 28.

Traditional greetings of the season, fashioned by members of the Penn College family on oversized holiday cards, have been installed on the mall outside the Breuder Advanced Technology and Health Sciences Center.
