A Boeing 727-200F aircraft from FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., made its final descent March 28 onto the runway at the Williamsport Regional Airport. Celebration of the landing and tremendously generous donation to Penn College took place at the Lumley Aviation Center.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students vied for their share of more than 2,400 full-time jobs and internship positions at the Spring Career Fair, impressing a variety of employers – including 26 Fortune 500 companies – at three locations: the Schneebeli Earth Science Center and Bardo Gymnasium on Tuesday, and the Lumley Aviation Center on Wednesday morning.

Ninth- and 10th-grade students from four school districts spent Monday, March 5, at Pennsylvania College of Technology exploring careers that rely on math and science during a SMART Girls session. Faculty, staff and students from Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies – with additional support from departments across campus – hosted more than 350 high school students during the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Tech Challenge State Robotics Championship in the Field House on Saturday.

Fifteen Pennsylvania College of Technology students, joined by a Student Activities staff member and an organizational adviser, participated in the Martin Luther King Service Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 14. The event kicked off in Penn’s Inn at 9 a.m. with a light breakfast, sharing of the day's purpose and a group activity.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of the Madigan Library at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will host the mixed-media work of artist Anila Quayyum Agha from Jan. 10 to Feb.

Pennsylvania College of Technology held a commencement ceremony at the Community Arts Center on Saturday, Dec. 17, for the nearly 370 students who petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2011 semester. The student speaker was Molly G. Goldsmith, of Liberty, who received an associate degree in forest technology.
