Penn College's Communication and Literature faculty teach not only general education courses, but also a variety of courses that qualify as humanities electives.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students will compete in the third annual "CalJava Wedding Cake Contest," scheduled for May 5 on the college's main campus in Williamsport. The contest was conceived and is sponsored by Daniel Budiman, CEO of CalJava International.

Joshua W. Brunk, scheduled to graduate in May with a degree in hospitality management, has been chosen as the Student Government Association's latest Student of the Month. The Richmond, N.H., resident has been highly involved as a student at Pennsylvania College of Technology, most recently as co-founder and co-president of the American Sign Language Club.

A team of students enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Technology's two-year construction majors earned top prize in competition at the recent National Association of Home Builders International Builders' Show in Florida, the college's third first-place finish in that category in the past five years. Twenty-three Pennsylvania College of Technology aviation students and three faculty members were certified in January by the PAMA/SAE Institute, which quantifies technicians' knowledge throughout the aviation maintenance industry.
