Pennsylvania College of Technology, in conjunction with the Penn State University Athletic Conference, has announced the recipients of the Fall 2001 All-Academic Team award. The award is given to student-athletes with a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in the semester of competition.

Fifteen students graduated from the noncredit practical nursing program at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus on Dec. 15. The students chose registered nurses Barbara Strope and Nancy Runyan as the distinguished speakers for the ceremony. Tracy L.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented student achievement awards to its December 2011 graduates. Nine students from Pennsylvania College of Technology's English as a Second Language program completed service-learning projects Dec. 2. The students were involved with The Academia and Messiah Lutheran Senior Center for five weeks on Friday mornings during the last half of the Fall 2011 semester.

Seven students on Penn College's Martial Arts Club team were promoted to the next belt level during Saturday's Martial Arts Seminar and Kyu Exam at the Field House. Head coach George Vance said the students Mathew D. Johnson, Cory L. Buckles, Kyle M. Zechman, Morgan A. Olbrich, Madelyn M. Lanoue, Philip T. Le and Michael J. Gardner did an excellent job.

Two associate-degree horticulture students at Pennsylvania College of Technology each received $1,250 scholarships during the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association Foundation's recent member-celebration dinner at the Lancaster Convention Center. The Information Technology Living-Learning Community had the opportunity to learn about optical fiber terminations in a recent session hosted by Jeff B. Weaver, associate professor of electronics and computer engineering technology.

Performing one of their last duties before graduating from the baking and pastry arts major, students in Chef Monica J. Lanczak's Pastry Food Show and Buffet Presentation Concepts course prepared and served a Grand Pastry Buffet attended by members of Penn College's 1914 Society on Sunday.
