While many of their classmates were relaxing or preparing for another semester, agroup of students from the Pennsylvania College of Technology spent part of their winter break building houseswith Habitat for Humanitynear New York City.

Students beginning their Penn College experience with the Spring 2012 semester were greeted with a weekend slate of activities designed to acclimate them and their families to everything the campus has to offer in AND out of the classroom.

A dental hygiene student at Pennsylvania College of Technology was recently named the 2011-12 recipient of the Bailey/Hollister Scholarship from the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association. Amber L. March, a sophomore from Montoursville, received a $1,500 scholarship from the association. She is the only recipient from among 12 dental hygiene education programs in Pennsylvania.

Senior Rachel Emmons (Washington, N.J.), sophomore Caleb Wise (Manheim) and freshman Adam Smith (Duncannon) earned United States Collegiate Athletic Association honors when named to the National All-Academic Team for non-USCAA sports. The three were starters on the Penn College tennis team.

Pennsylvania College of Technology, in conjunction with the Penn State University Athletic Conference, has announced the recipients of the Fall 2001 All-Academic Team award. The award is given to student-athletes with a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in the semester of competition.

Fifteen students graduated from the noncredit practical nursing program at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus on Dec. 15. The students chose registered nurses Barbara Strope and Nancy Runyan as the distinguished speakers for the ceremony. Tracy L.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented student achievement awards to its December 2011 graduates. The award winners, their hometowns and academic majors are: President's Award, presented for leadership and service to the college: Kaitlyn Marie Kennedy, Elizabethtown, business administration: small business and entrepreneurship concentration.
