Area health care providers and emergency responders, part-time Penn College faculty, and alumni shared their insights with students and others during Thursday visits to main campus. A commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, for nearly 250 students who have petitioned to graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology after the college’s summer sessions. Two Pennsylvania College of Technology graphic design students recently won awards at the district level of the American Advertising Federation’s ADDY awards. In the federation’s District 2 student competition, junior Erin M. Students in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s electronics and computer engineering technology major recently entered projects in the IEEE Region 2 Student Activities Conference, bringing home a second-place finish. A nursing student at Pennsylvania College of Technology is among just more than 100 from around the nation selected for the Mayo Clinic’s Summer III Nursing Externship. Stephanie M. Connections has resumed, providing a variety of activities to help first-year students get acquainted with Penn College and one another. Spread over two days of sessions, each orientation program addresses a range of topics, including finances, classroom expectations, diversity, safety, extracurricular involvement and the reality of leaving home.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has announced the 2013 inductees for its Athletics Hall of Fame. The class is the second to be inducted after being established in 2012 by Athletic Director Scott E. Kennell. “We have another great class of inductees,” Kennell said.
