Ready to serve Applying sealants in the dental clinic Senior dental hygiene students from Penn College treated a total of 40 children and placed 397 sealants during a May 2 community effort involving the Sullivan County and Muncy school districts.

The brothers of Sigma Pi Fraternity recently hosted their second Rock-a-Thon in three years, spending 24 hours rocking in chairs to raise money in support of the Mary Beth Saar Memorial Scholarship.  The event, held in the Bush Campus Center’s TV Lounge, raised more than $145 for the scholarship fund.

Penn College Wildcats Five Penn College baseball student-athletes made the grade as they were named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic Team. The team, announced at the championship banquet, is comprised of players that have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and are academically a sophomore or above.

Flutist Jessica L. Gower recently became Pennsylvania College of Technology’s first participant in the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band Festival. The 66th annual festival was held over three days at Mansfield University, concluding March 17 with a concert conducted by Lt. Col. Alan Bonner, retired commander and conductor of the U.S. Air Force Band.

Katie L. Kratzer Penn College's Katie L. Kratzer, of Selinsgrove, has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Softball Newcomer of the Year for her efforts as a rookie in the 2013 season. She was also named First-Team, All-Conference. Both awards are voted on by the coaches of the PSUAC and are based on performance throughout the season.
