A “Remote Control Race Day” stirred excitement and participation on a Friday evening in the Field House. The recent gathering was hosted by two clubs: the PCT Remote Control Model Club and the IEEE Student Branch a Penn College.

The campus community and public are reminded of the Feb. 4 events held in conjunction with The Gallery at Penn College's exhibition, “Re-Writing the Streets 2.0: The International Language of Stickers.” At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, “Sticker Shock" will be delivered, examining the sticker as a pop-culture medium. The lecture will occur in Penn’s Inn on the second floor of the Bush Campus Center. A reception will follow, from 5 to 6 p.m., in gallery on the third floor of The Madigan Library.

Penn College students have reveled in the many engaging activities offered to kick off Spring 2025. Among the fun: “Roller Skating Night” and “Hot Dog, You’re Back!” Both were hosted in the Field House by the Office of Student Engagement.

A leading polymer engineering software provider has renewed its longtime support of Pennsylvania College of Technology and its students. Plastic Flow LLC recently provided its updated software package to the college at a substantial discount, valued at $332,150.

Representatives from Graham Engineering Co. LLC visited campus to celebrate the operational status of an American Kuhne 1.5-inch extruder that Penn College purchased from the company last fall. The purchase was funded by a portion of a $594,574 National Science Foundation grant.

A deer-damaged Cadillac is no match for Penn College collision repair students Imani Salih, of Pittsburgh, and Addison Zick, of Norristown. In “Start to Finish: Collision Repair at Penn College,” watch the duo work in the college’s hands-on labs to transform the vehicle.

Free coffee and T-shirts stirred Penn College students out of their cozy accommodations early Thursday morning to welcome the college’s new neighbor – Wawa. The college’s Wildcat mascot was also on hand (and paw) for the Grand Opening of the convenience store and gas station, located directly across from Penn College’s main entrance on Maynard Street.

Fourteen Pennsylvania College of Technology students have passed various sections of the Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator Certification exam. The students are enrolled in Penn College’s landscape/plant production and forest technology majors. “Students with this certification are what many employers are looking for,” said Carl J. Bower Jr., assistant professor of horticulture.
