A longtime partner of Pennsylvania College of Technology recently donated to one of the school’s largest programs. Employees of High Steel Structures LLC – through the High Foundation – contributed $3,400 for use in the college’s welding program. Over 360 students are enrolled in the welding & metal fabrication program cluster at the college.

Tucker, the great-great grandson of Preston Tucker, the legendary automotive figure responsible for the car, takes WNEP-TV anchor/reporter Jon Meyer for a spin in this segment, which aired on Wednesday.
Penn College's 2023-24 Impact Report — titled "Moving the Mission Forward" — is available online. The report gives a glimpse of the opportunities realized at Penn College in 2023-24, thanks to the efforts of many. "Pennsylvania College of Technology is an engine of economic development, crafting and adapting curriculum to meet workforce needs since 1914," says Penn College President Michael J. Nearly 290 students have petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2024 semester at Pennsylvania College of Technology. A commencement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Community Arts Center. The ceremony, which will be livestreamed, is open to students who are registered to participate and ticketed guests; 188 students are expected to march.
The Dunham Children’s Learning Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology received a $6,000 Keystone Stars Continuous Quality Improvement grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through STEP Inc. Keystone Stars is an initiative of the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning to improve, support and recognize the quality of Pennsylvania’s early learning and school-age programs.
WNEP-TV’s Jon Meyer visited campus on Monday to produce an “On the Pennsylvania Road” segment regarding the 1948 Tucker restored by Pennsylvania College of Technology students. One of those students is Ty M. Tucker, of Columbia, the great-great grandson of Preston Tucker, the legendary automotive figure responsible for the car. The segment is scheduled to air Wednesday during WNEP’s 6 p.m. newscast.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's Esports program has won its first championship. The Overwatch 2 team captured the Fall 2024 National Association of Collegiate Esports Varsity+ championship, beating the University of North Carolina–Greensboro 3-1 in the final match and finishing with a 7-1 season.
