Pennsylvania College of Technology landscape/plant production technology students are reaping the rewards they earned at the 49th annual National Collegiate Landscape Competition, held recently at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Penn College’s contingent of 18 students achieved an excellent showing in the three-day event, placing 18th out of 54 schools, thanks to top finishes by seven students.
A Pennsylvania College of Technology civil engineering technology student is one of nine undergraduates statewide to receive a scholarship from the Pennsylvania Land Surveyors’ Foundation. Ethan A. Hillenbrand, of Harrisburg, earned a $2,000 scholarship, awarded by the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors at its conference in Hershey.
“Graphic Design 2025” runs May 1-9 in The Gallery at Penn College. The exhibition showcases the work of graduating seniors in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s graphic design major. A reception honoring the students is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 2. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Ernie Dojack, of Concrete Countertop Solutions, recently provided information and live demos to concrete science technology students enrolled in a Decorative Concrete class. Dojack, who has 15-plus years in the industry, showcased the difference between cast-in-place concrete countertop systems and precast concrete countertop methods and products.

A group of industrial design students from Pennsylvania College of Technology recently toured Globus Medical, a leading orthopedic medical device company headquartered in Audubon. The students are enrolled in their major’s Medical Device Design class, taught by instructor Catherine A. Krawiec, a former employee of Globus Medical’s spine division.
