The 37th Annual Penn College Foundation Golf Classic, featuring eight-time PGA Tour and nine-time PGA Tour Champions winner Fred Funk, raised $104,215 for student scholarships at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students received nearly a third of all scholarships from a national foundation devoted to skilled manufacturing careers. Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs – the foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International – awarded the $1,500-$2,500 scholarships to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a certificate or degree program leading to a manufacturing career.

Five Pennsylvania College of Technology students received financial assistance through the Allan Myers Corporate Scholars Program, just one of the ways the mid-Atlantic’s largest heavy civil contracting firm encourages the institution’s tomorrow makers.

Fifteen Student Leadership & Involvement Awards – as well as a scholarship or three – were recently presented in the Thompson Professional Development Center. The program, a heartwarming tradition of the Office of Student Engagement, honors campus leaders, their mentors among Penn College's faculty and staff, and the student organizations that have left their mark on yet another academic year.

“A Week With Waffles,” an interactive chronicle of a guinea pig’s delightful day-to-day adventures, received two honors in the Reader Views 2022-23 Literary Awards competition. The book, authored by Pennsylvania College of Technology writer/video producer Tom Speicher and illustrated by Argentinian artist Marina Saumell, is a Gold Medal winner in the preschool/toddler category and was selected for the Best Children’s Picture Book Award.
