Involvement awards underline another impressive year

Fifteen Student Leadership & Involvement Awards – as well as a scholarship or three – were recently presented in the Thompson Professional Development Center. The program, a heartwarming tradition of the Office of Student Engagement, honors campus leaders, their mentors among Penn College's faculty and staff, and the student organizations that have left their mark on yet another academic year.

The Halloween scarefest, a tradition in the welding lab, was named the year's outstanding program.

In addition, Student Leader Legacy Scholarships were presented to Nikolas J. Harnish, a welding & fabrication engineering technology student from Newmanstown, and Alec D. Rees, of Centerport, N.Y.; the Sustainable Lifestyle Scholarship was awarded to Sadie S.E. Niedermyer, an architecture & sustainable design major from Spring Mills.
