Full-time students at Pennsylvania College of Technology who are residents of 10 central and northcentral Pennsylvania counties are eligible to apply for awards from a new scholarship fund at the college. Blaise J. Alexander, well-known for his family's automobile dealerships around the region, recently established the Blaise Alexander Family Scholarship Fund at Penn College.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation's recent dinner auction set a new record for funds raised at the biennial event. Robb C. Dietrich, executive director of the Penn College Foundation, said more than $58,000 was raised at the event. He said the total was about $4,000 more than the amount raised at the last dinner auction in 2008.

The Ford Motor Co. helped Pennsylvania College of Technology celebrate the dedication of its newly renovated and expanded Parkes Automotive Technology Center by providing the college with a new Ford Mustang. The 2011 Mustang GT Premium Edition convertible, valued at more than $40,000, was delivered in time for the dedication of the ATC part of the college's Stage X building program on Sept. 10.
