The Alumni Association and College Store joined forces Monday and Tuesday for a Senior Sendoff, helping soon-to-graduate seniors make final preparations for commencement and laying the groundwork fora continuing relationship with Penn College. Students could pick up graduation announcements, caps and gowns in the store, thenenroll in the association's online Alumni Community.

Renowned golfer Bob Charles will be the visiting pro at the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation's 22nd Annual Spring Golf Classic on May 5 at the Williamsport Country Club. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Penn College Foundation Golf Classic Scholarship. Since its inception in 1987, the Golf Classic has secured funds for Penn College Foundation's Scholarship Aid Program.

A Montgomery County firm that is a longtime supporter of students at Pennsylvania College of Technology has solidified that relationship with a permanent source of scholarship awards.

A leading site contracting and paving firm in Chester County has established a scholarship fund at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The fund established by Lyons and Hohl Inc. focuses on students in Penn College's heavy construction equipment technology: operator emphasis major.

Pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb has established a scholarship fund at Pennsylvania College of Technology to support students in the college's aviation maintenance technology bachelor-degree major. The Bristol-Myers Squibb Scholarship Fund will make annual awards of $2,500 each to two students.

A Bloomsburg couple has established a scholarship fund that encourages students in the Mount Carmel Area School District to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology. Edward and Sharon Madalis recently signed the agreement establishing the fund in memory of Edward's parents, Walter and Nancy Madalis. "My parents placed a strong emphasis on the value of continued education," Edward Madalis said.

The Alumni Citizenship/Humanitarian Award recognizes graduates of Penn College (and forerunners Williamsport Area Community College and the Williamsport Technical Institute) who provide distinguished community or volunteer service.
