For the 17th year Wednesday, Penn College students and employees enjoyed "Pack the Park Night" with the Williamsport Crosscutters. Free tickets were available across campus and complimentary bus service transported students safely to and from BB&T Ballpark. Fans saw a 4-2 win by the hometown favorites, who posted a winning season in their division but fell just short of a playoff berth.
"PA Live!" Chef Mary G. Trometter, assistant professor of hospitality management/culinary arts, showed viewers how to make compressed melon salad on Monday’s edition of “PA Live!” on WBRE. Following a national search, John D. Vandevere has been named director of athletics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, President Davie Jane Gilmour announced. “John brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in athletics,” Gilmour said.

Cromley, renewing his longtime August commitment as a team "uncle" at the Little League Baseball World Series, is featured in a photograph posted to Major League Baseball's website over the weekend.
Kimberly R. Cassel has been named director of alumni relations at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Cassel had been director of student activities at Penn College since 2008. She began her employment with the college in 2004 as assistant director of student development. She was appointed associate director of student activities for Greek life and leadership in 2007.
