On the 10th anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history, the Pennsylvania College of Technology community gathered in tribute to the lives lost and valor born on that horrific Sept. 11.
Mike Aponte, the leader of the M.I.T. Blackjack Team a group of college students that defied the odds and legally won millions of dollars playing "21" will make a free public appearance at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Klump Academic Center Auditorium.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Health Sciences will host a 5K Walk/Run on Oct. 8 as part of the college's Homecoming festivities. Net proceeds from the race will support the School of Health Sciences Endowed Scholarship Fund, which benefits the school's students. Fundraising efforts for the scholarship are coordinated by School of Health Sciences faculty and staff.
The campus community enjoyed a full slate of sports Aug. 30, observing "Opening Day" for fall athletics before celebrating Pennsylvania College of Technology "Pack the Park Night" at Williamsport's historic Bowman Field.

Marked by wit, interactivity and varied media, the exhibit runs through Sept. 28 on the third floor of Madigan Library. The gallery is open 1-4 p.m. Sunday, 2-7 p.m.

Free food, fun and games were in the offingduring a "Grillin' With the Greeks" event this week in Rose Street Commons. Hamburgers and hot dogs, cooked outdoors by Penn College fraternity members, were given away Monday to students who passed by.
