Penn College's School of Health Sciences hosted its fourth 5K Walk/Run on Saturday to support a scholarship for students in the college's health sciences majors. Net proceeds from the race support the School of Health Sciences Endowed Scholarship Fund, with the goal of building the fund to an endowment of at least $25,000, after which it will become a permanent source of scholarship awards.

Twenty senior students in the graphic design major at Pennsylvania College of Technology will display the best of their collegiate portfolio, as judged by graphic design faculty, during the "Design: 2012" exhibit at The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of the Madigan Library.

The Wildcat Comic Con – which uniquely combined academics, art and just plain fun – gave hundreds of people unprecedented access to industry heavyweights during a two-day festival on Pennsylvania College of Technology's main campus.

The community is welcome to attend the free opening ceremonies of the Wildcat Comic Con, to be held April 13-14 at Pennsylvania College of Technology's main campus in Williamsport. Friday's opening will begin at 8 a.m.

Penn College's Walk-It-Out Committee (with the help of Peggy A. Barbour, Advisement Center specialist) is holding a basket raffle to benefit the American Cancer Society. The raffle features a lottery wreath and more than 16 baskets of various themes. The Walk-It-Out Basket Raffle runs through April 20 in the Bush Campus Center lobby.

The Penn College Chess Club held itssecond successful spring tournamentfrom 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 31in the Bush Campus Center. Ten players competed in two sections, Open and Student, playing five rounds using a Game/30, 5-second-delay clock setting. Joseph Mucerino, who holds a U.S.

Le Jeune Chef Restaurant experts, as well as faculty/staff mentors and sponsors, guided an impressive assemblage of Penn College students – many of whom attended from academic classes or student organizations – through the third annual Etiquette Dinner on April 2.

School counselors and other K-12 educators spent the day on campus Wednesday to participate in Penn College's semiannual College and Career Readiness Conference.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently welcomed Chef Scott Endy back to campus as part of its Visiting Chef Series, in which the 1996 alumnus – now executive chef for the Las Vegas Convention Center – guided School of Hospitality students through preparation of a March 30 meal that helped raise money for scholarships. — Photos by Jennifer A.
