A chocolate house made by Milton resident Ching Chan received the Chef Eugene Mattucci Best of Show Award in the annual Food Show at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Chan is a student in the college’s baking and pastry arts major.

Elizabeth A. Biddle, K-12 project manager, leads a roundtable talk on gender equity in STEM careers and the college’s SMART Girls program. David R. Cotner, dean of industrial, computing and engineering technologies, leads educators through the Avco-Lycoming Metal Trades Center; the group also toured the Machining Technologies Center.

Jeannette F. Carter, director of Outreach for K-12, discusses the opportunities for cooperation between industry and education. Robert A. Roush, of the Central Pennsylvania Workforce Development Corp., addresses the Workforce Investment Board's responsiveness to industry needs.

Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold a commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 21, for the nearly 300 students who have petitioned to graduate at the end of the Fall 2013 semester. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
