Works by baking and pastry arts students at Pennsylvania College of Technology were auctioned to raise more than $1,600 for Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity during the School of Hospitality's annual Food Show on Dec. 4. The centerpiece of the fundraising effort was a silent auction of 12 chocolate houses created by students in the Principles of Chocolate Works course.

A former professor has taken advantage of a special federal program to establish a scholarship fund at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Patricia J. Rambo, who retired as a professor of business administration in 1994, recently established the Robert and Patricia Shoff Rambo Scholarship. The endowed fund is expected to generate in excess of $1,000 annually for scholarship awards.

The funeral will be Friday for Steven R. Parker, an assistant professor of physics in Penn College's School of Integrated Studies, who died Monday, Nov. 16. The college flags were lowered in memory of Parker, who joined the college faculty in Fall 2004 as an instructor of environmental technology in the School of Natural Resources Management. The service will be held at 1:30 p.m.
