David L. Evans, professor of biology at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was recently appointed to the editorial board of BioScience. BioScience is the monthly, peer-reviewed journal of the American Institute of Biological Sciences. AIBS is an umbrella organization for around 200 biological-sciences societies.
Four first-grade classes from Lyter Elementary School in Montoursville visited labs at Penn College on March 23. The children enjoyed activities in graphic communications laboratories and in the School of Hospitality. They screen-printed T-shirts, twisted pretzels, learned to set tables and practice good table manners, and toured facilities.
