Four Pennsylvania College of Technology graduates all of them working in their chosen fields and an in-the-know industry representative visited the Schneebeli Earth Science Center on Tuesdayto relate "If I Knew Then What I Know Now ..." The program, organized by Misty D.

Shawn Sidey, a 1996 Penn College graduate who earned degrees in culinary arts and food and hospitality management, returned to campus Nov. 17 to talk with students about coffee roasting. Sidey, trained as a chef, decided after several years of restaurant and catering management positions, to pursue his joy for coffee as a career. After managing three stores in a cafe chain called Brew HaHa!

Two alumni from Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Hospitality will visit the college this month to talk with students about their jobs in unique hospitality niches. Shawn Sidey, who graduated in 1996 with a degree in food and hospitality management, will visit the college on Nov. 17. Sidey is a roasting supervisor for Starbucks Coffee Co.'s York Roasting Plant in York.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology culinary arts alumnus and in-demand creator of buffet showpieces will return to campus in October to share his expertise with students and alumni as part of the college's William C. Butler Lecture Series.

Brandon S. Sisino, of Cogan Station, whose Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award was announced last spring, was among those honored in a full-page advertisement in the publication Wednesday, Sept. 20. On Page R9 of that day's editions, Sisino was listed on a "Best in Class" honor roll congratulating all of the newspaper's 2006 award winners.
