The Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Pennsylvania College of Technology celebrates its 20th graduating class this summer. In honor of this landmark, the program, in concert with Alumni Relations and Workforce Development & Continuing Education, sponsored a full day of educational and social events for alumni on May 30.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Dental Hygiene Program raised $4,000 for a recent graduate who is diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Mindy J. Crawford, who earned an associate degree in dental hygiene in 2004, was diagnosed with having at least three anaplastic astrocytomas (tumors) in her brain, all inoperable because of their locations.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of the college's Madigan Library, is hosting "Searching for Creativity," a collection of works by Fred Gilmour, through June 22. An opening reception for the exhibit with a talk by the artist was held Tuesday evening. With the exception of the holiday weekend, gallery hours are 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 2-8 p.m.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented a Distinguished Alumnus Award to Mel Tra and Alumnus/Alumna Achievement Awards to Jill E. Hoffines-Erb and Timothy E. Hess. The awards were presented during commencement ceremonies May 16-17 at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport.

The Alumni Association and College Store joined forces Monday and Tuesday for a Senior Sendoff, helping soon-to-graduate seniors make final preparations for commencement and laying the groundwork fora continuing relationship with Penn College. Students could pick up graduation announcements, caps and gowns in the store, thenenroll in the association's online Alumni Community.
