A German priest who miraculously survived a World War II concentration camp and escaped a death march will deliver a message of hope beyond suffering when he appears at Pennsylvania College of Technology in October. The Rev. Hermann Scheipers will speak from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "Were You There? The Evolution of a College Campus" from Oct. 6 to Nov. 8.

Impassioned students got the jump on next month's Homecoming observance, readily showing their Penn College Pride at Monday evening's women's soccer game against Lycoming College. The Wildcats came out on the other end of a 2-0 score, but the fan base marked by painted bodies and pure boosterism was strong.

William J. Astore, associate professor of history and a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, was a guest Monday morning on the "Lionel" radio show on Air America. During the interview, which aired live, Lionel questioned Astoreabout the U,S, military and his recent article, "Whatever Happened to Gary Cooper?"
