Over the past decade, Pennsylvania College of Technology's golf team has established itself as one of the best in the country among non-NCAA colleges. Six consecutive conference championships, a 166-1-1 record in its last 168 matches and a national championship back that up.

Penn College, which last week ushered in the 63rd Little League World Series with a cookout and an impressive presence in the Grand Slam Parade, continues to be a most valuable player on the event's support team.

Penn College's welding department has taken up residence at 401 Eureka Place, in the eastern side of the city, for 2009-10. The site accommodates laboratory equipment, classrooms and faculty offices while the Avco-Lycoming Metal Trades Center undergoes renovation. The department plans to move back to its renovated space on main campus by Fall 2010.
