PA House produces video on Penn College event

Thursday, April 23, 2026

State Rep. Clint Owlett shared a video on his Facebook page to highlight a recent emergency simulation provided to first-year state representatives by Penn College’s emergency management & homeland security faculty and students.

Owlett, secretary for the House Republican Caucus and a member of the college’s Board of Directors, arranged the training session to help prepare the legislators to handle potential emergencies in their districts.

“Pennsylvania College of Technology, particularly instructors and students in the emergency management program, did a fantastic job of briefing members on the details of a simulated event and helped prepare them to do a mock press conference with the information they received,” Owlett wrote on Facebook. “It was a great way to demonstrate the importance of building relationships with crisis centers at the local level, as well as with Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency officials.”

The simulation also gave students experience in briefing government officials.

Watch the video, produced by the House of Representatives, on Owlett’s Facebook page.
