Ellen E. Buckley, an industrial design student from Binghamton, New York; graduate Leslie Escamilla-Ambrosio, from Corona, New York; Camren J. Ferrara, engineering design technology, Lock Haven; Makayla R. Jones, pre-nursing, Macungie; Sierra N. Klinger, business administration, Klingerstown; Jacob A. Martinez, automation engineering technology and electronics & computer engineering technology, East Stroudsburg; Karissa M. Prosser, business administration, Mount Jewett; and Jade M. Stubblefield, software development & information management, Mainesburg.
Escamilla-Ambrosio is a May 2025 business management graduate who earned degrees in information technology and information assurance & cyber security in May 2024; she is serving as orientation captain. Human services & restorative justice graduate Chyanna L. Galagarza, '25 & '23, is assisting as the student engagement intern; she formerly held the role of orientation captain.
“New Student Orientation is such a fun time to be on campus!” said Meghan Delsite Coleman, assistant director of student engagement. “As we welcome our new Wildcats, we have the opportunity to set them for long-term success at Penn College, and it’s exciting to work with our campus partners as we start them on their journey.”
New Student Orientation gives incoming students:
• a better sense of academic expectations and resources
• a sneak peek at student life outside the classrooms and labs
• connections with their future peers
• the opportunity to obtain information about books/tool kits, process financial aid and pay bills
• the chance to acquire their student identification card
• answers to any lingering questions
Eight additional Orientation dates are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in June and July: June 17, 19, 24 and 26, and July 8, 10, 17 and 22. All new Penn College students (first years, transfers and adult learners) are required to participate. More information can be found on the New Student Orientation site.
