"Keystone Poetry: Contemporary Poets on Pennsylvania," an anthology published by Penn State University Press, features 182 poets from across the commonwealth, reflecting the rich landscapes and diverse voices of Pennsylvania. The publication was edited by Marjorie Maddox, professor emerita of English and creative writing at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania-Lock Haven, and Jerry Wemple, professor of English at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania-Bloomsburg.

"From the urban rhythms of Philadelphia to the rugged beauty of the shale fields, these poems explore hometowns, history and heritage," reads the anthology's promotional materials. "Whether you're a poetry lover, educator or simply curious, this event offers a unique chance to connect with the literary heart of Pennsylvania. Plus, get insights on using poetry in the classroom with resources for teachers."

A native of Clinton County, Wheeler studied creative writing at Susquehanna University, earning a B.A., and at Penn State, attaining an M.F.A. Several of her former professors are also featured in the anthology. Wheeler has published two books of poetry with nationally recognized literary presses, most recently "Evensong for Shadows." She has been teaching writing at the college level for over 20 years.
