Jonathan M. Probst, a residential construction technology and management major from Allison Park, has been chosen as January’s Student of the Month at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Jonathan M. Probst A Senior Resident Assistant in Campus View Apartments and a part-time student clerk in the Residence Life Office, Probst is also a member of the Penn College Construction Association.

Prior to the start of Saturday’s game against Davis College, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team honored its two graduating seniors: Mackenzie Brown and Kierstin Steer.  Both have been major contributors this season, which sees the team right in the middle of the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoff race.

Jamie Steer Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) was named both the Penn State University Athletic Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 27. Steer led the Wildcats in a 2-1 week, averaging 21 points and 12.7 rebounds in the three games with two double-doubles.

For those ready to take themselves – or their businesses – to the next level, Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering a wide array of noncredit, business and management courses. The courses, presented by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, are held at the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the college’s main campus in Williamsport.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology will present the first series in its Quick Start Leadership program beginning Feb. 8. High-performing individuals are often tapped for leadership roles with little or no training in effective leadership.

“Rock away the winter blues” at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s WinterFest from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in the college’s Field House on the main campus in Williamsport. The evening will include performances by the Students of Musical Development organization (a co-sponsor with the Wildcat Events Board), Mystery Fyre, Flu Shots, Kinsey and Audiobox.

Five members of the Penn College Martial Arts Club traveled to West Chester University on Saturday, performing well in a Shotokan Karate Tournament held by the East Coast Collegiate Karate Union.
