Pennsylvania College of Technology received grants totaling more than $34,000 to award scholarships to students enrolled in its nursing majors.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has received a $94,000 grant that focuses primarily on training displaced workers for jobs in the natural gas industry. The Northern Tier Natural Gas Pre-Employment Training grant is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry through the Northern Tier Regional Planning & Development Commission.

The Penn State Cooperative Extension is offering a series of Rain Barrel Workshops conducted by Master Gardeners. For a minimal cost and less than two hours of their time, participants can receive more pertinent information and a rain barrel that can be assembled easily. Rain barrels use roof runoff for plant and garden watering while alleviating storm water concerns.
