The Baking and Pastry Applications Class, the students responsible for the popular campus bake sales throughout the year, completed a semester-ending "trade show" project in the Susquehanna Room from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The show was a presentation of pastry product development, merchandising and marketing techniques, according to Chef Monica J.

Perfect weather and a perfect finish for its three teams; things could not have gone much better for Pennsylvania College of Technology archers last weekend when they hosted the Eastern Regional Intercollegiate Championships. "I'm very happy with the way things went. You couldn't ask for any better weather. Usually we get rain, sleet and high winds, but, this year, it was beautiful.

In its last chance to qualify for postseason play, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team split with Penn State Fayette on Monday, while Penn State Greater Allegheny dropped two games to Penn State Beaver. The results lifted the Wildcats into the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs for the fourth straight season.

Winners in the You Be the Judge competition, in which the Penn College community was enlisted to choose among the eye-catching craftsmanship of students in the School of Construction and Design Technologies' masonry emphasis, have been announced. First place, shown in photo at far left, went to Zig-Zag, constructed by Cody R. Smith, of Clearville,and Jerry D.

A total of 23 teams comprising 154 people took part in Saturday's Walk-It-Out event, helping to raise $5,724 for the American Cancer Society. Food, games and camaraderie complemented the day's main activity, a mini-Relay for Life held on the Madigan Library Lawn.

Eight members of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Colony of Sigma Nu fraternity recently contributed several hours' work to a local Habitat for Humanity project. Volunteering at a property on Mahaffey Street in the Newberry section of Williamsport, the crew worked with drywall and sealed holes in the ceiling where electrical and plumbing had been installed. The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host a student portfolio exhibit April 30-May 7. Sixteen students will exhibit more than 160 pieces of work they created during their studies toward earning bachelor's degrees in graphic design.
