When a Williamsport electronics company recently needed communications training for hundreds of employees at its Reach Road location, it didn't have to look far. Help was just a block away at Pennsylvania College of Technology's Workforce Development & Continuing Education office.

Haas Automation Inc., of Oxnard, Calif., recently entrusted two pieces of equipment to Pennsylvania College of Technology, bringing its total to four since 2004. The company has provided the college with two pieces of CNC (computer numerical control) machine tools a TM1 toolroom mill and a TL1 toolroom lathe, along with the accessories to support the equipment for two years.

Fed by a tank of recirculated water and surrounded by landscaped greenery, the fountain features waterfalls over mountain stone. A n instructor of environmental technology in Penn College's School of Natural Resources Management conducted his first "agroterrorism" assignment last month at a community college in Crownpoint, N.M. Steven R. Parker (rear left in photo) leaves July 9 for two weeks of complete Master Instructor training required by the Department of Homeland Security.

The Connections program continues through the summer, giving students and their guests a small-group orientation to Penn College, including academic expectations and social opportunities. WPTC streams live on the Web; as a result, anyone around the world with an Internet connection can tune in the station's radio programs.
