An exhibition of student photography is on display in Bookmarks in the Madigan Library. The photographs are part of student work completed for the Commercial Photography course (PHO230) taught by Gary R. DiPalma, instructor of graphic design, in the Spring 2007 semester. Photographs were taken in four basic subject areas: fashion/portrait, food, product and architecture.
A Pennsylvania College of Technology student who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year will be memorialized through a new scholarship fund to benefit nursing students at Penn College. The Danielle M. Young Memorial Scholarship will generate an annual award of $500 to a student enrolled full time in Penn College's associate- or bachelor-degree nursing majors.

More than 100 people traveled the West Branch of the Susquehanna on Friday night, as Student Activities sponsored a "Wing Cruise" aboard the Hiawatha paddleboat. The Penn College community recognizes the Clothesline Project this week with T-shirt displays in the Campus Center lobby and Madigan Library. The Clothesline Project was created in Massachusetts in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. According to its Web site , "It is a vehicle for women affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt.
Three Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty members have earned the designation of Certified Nurse Educator after successfully completing a rigorous certification examination developed and administered by the New York City-based National League for Nursing. Jane J. Benedict, Linda L. Crayton and Pam B. Schappert, all associate professors of nursing, earned the certification.
Pennsylvania College of Technology golfers led a five-team field to claim victory in Thursday's Penn State Mont Alto Tournament at the Penn National course in Fayetteville. Leading the way individually for the Wildcats was junior Doug Wagner, of Huntington Mills, who shot a 78 and the only round in the 70s among the competing colleges.
