Two Penn College men's basketball players have been named to the 2009 Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Conference Team. Leroy Joiner, a freshman guard from Williamsport, and Craig Flint, a senior guard from Port Allegany, were honored by the conference Monday. Joiner, an early childhood education major, led the team in scoring this season with 492 points.

Judging for the CalJava International Wedding Cake Competition was held Thursday morning in the PDC. Ten intricate cakes designed for the competition by students in an advanced cake decorating class were displayed the following day, attracting cash votes to determine the People's Choice Award.
