An Open House at Pennsylvania College of Technology − a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University − will be held Sunday, Oct. 25, enabling prospective students, their families and friends to learn more about the college, its academic programs and facilities. After Monday's first round of the Penn State University Athletic Conference-United States Collegiate Athletic Association golf championships, Penn College was fifth overall. Among PSUAC colleges, it was third. Craig Flint of Port Allegany led the Wildcats with an opening-round 76 on Penn State's Blue Course and was tied for fifth place.

The Penn College Motorsports Association co-hosted its fourth biannual autocross with the Sports Car Club of America Northeastern Region this past weekend. The event, held at Brodart Co. on Arch Street, is a skill contest that emphasizes drivers' ability and their cars' characteristics.
Dean Yasharian, who earned a bachelor's degree in culinary arts technology in 2003, will appear on an episode of Food Network series "Chopped" this week. The episode, titled "When Chefs Collide," will premiere at 10 p.m. Oct. 13 and will be rebroadcast at 1 a.m. Oct. 14 and 8 p.m. Oct. 23.
