The Pennsylvania College of Technology community opened its arms, hearts and doors to greet new students during Welcome Weekend, lending a helpful hand during move-in, assisting with last-minute preparations before the start of the Fall 2011 semester, orienting first-year enrollees to the location of their classes, and answering any questions to put freshmen (and their parents) at ease.

Ninth- and 10th-grade students explored "Electronics and the Future!" during a recent four-day, three-night camp at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Pennsylvania College of Technology again helped welcome visitors to Williamsport for the Little League Baseball World Series. On Aug. 17, the college hosted a third annual cookout for the series teams on the lawn outside the Bush Campus Center, then led players, coaches and umpires to their respective divisions in the Grand Slam Parade down West Fourth Street.

Three loosely formed teams did battle during Greek Color Wars, held Tuesday evening on the lawn outside the Thompson Professional Development Center. Tossing sponges soaked in washable children's paint (bought by the gallon and diluted with water), the teams red, blue and green vied for superiority in a contest that ultimately was won by all.

Three groups of faculty/staff volunteers conducted a "Walk Around" of off-campus neighborhoods surrounding Penn College on Tuesday evening introducing themselves to tenants, welcoming new and returning students to the fall semester, distributing information about apartment living and an upcoming Block Party, and answering any questions.
