A short regular season for the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team was shortened even further as three of five scheduled matches were canceled by rain. But coach Chet Schuman remains optimistic as his team heads into tournament action next week. "It's unfortunate, because we've got a really good group of kids," Schuman said of the washouts.

The Penn College Golf Team began this year's season whereit left off with a win. Shaun McQuay, a Warrior Run graduate, was the medalist in Thursday's tournament at Green Pond Golf Course in Bethlehem. Penn College shot 306 to finish in first place over Luzerne Community College at 324.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology tennis team is coming off an unbeaten spring season during which it won the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference championship. And even though it is entering a new league, coach Charlie Baum expects more of the same.
