Under boundless autumn sunshine, brightened even further by the friendliness of faculty/staff and students, Pennsylvania College of Technology held a record-breaking Fall 2009 Open House on Sunday.

Students and alumni looking for postgraduate jobs or valuable internships were encouraged to attend Penn College's Fall 2009 Career Fair, held Oct. 20-21 in Penn's Inn on the second floor of the Bush Campus Center.

High school students from school districts far and wide visited Penn College's campuses to learn about potential careers through a full Friday of exciting hands-on activities and informative tours. The college's Outreach for K-12 Office each fall organizes Career Day for students in 10th through 12th grades; a similar event for seventh- to ninth-graders is held every spring.

From campus royalty to a historical photo exhibit in The Gallery at Penn College, to sporting events and alumni reunions, to a car show and "floats" that didn't move, Pennsylvania College of Technology was alive Oct. 9-11 with a "Connecting the Pieces: Past and Present Unite" Homecoming celebration. — Photos by Jessica L. School of Hospitality students and faculty benefited from visits by culinary experts who shared their knowledge during classes and special events.

Scores of civic-minded Pennsylvania College of Technology students and employees fanned out across Lycoming County on Saturday, Oct. 3 – rolling up their sleeves at about a dozen job sites from Montoursville to Jersey Shore, from Newberry to South Williamsport – for the United Way's annual Day of Caring.

Members of The Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees and the Corporation for Penn State visited Pennsylvania College of Technology on Sept. 10.

Greek Week began with formal expansion of the Pennsylvania College of Technology community to include two sororities – Alpha Sigma Alpha and Sigma Sigma Sigma, both of which held bid days on Aug. 30. The women selected their respective organizations and, amid a festive atmosphere that night in Penn's Inn, celebrated their new memberships.

Penn College had a pervasive presence in Thursday's Grand Slam Parade, which kicks off the Little League Baseball World Series and stepped off at 6 p.m. northwest of campus.
